The harp is a large instrument: it needs a stable area of at least 1.5 x 1.5 metres, a flat and firm surface, and protection from direct sunlight or rain outdoors. The harpist needs to arrive with enough time to tune the instrument to the venue's environment.

Can the harp sound good in outdoor spaces?

Outdoors, the natural volume of the harp may not carry far enough for large groups. In that case, many harpists use a contact microphone and discreet amplification to maintain the sound without losing elegance.

How far in advance should I book a harpist for my wedding?

It is recommended to book a harpist at least three to four months in advance for weddings, as professional harpists have very limited availability, especially between April and October.
